2 surveys - genarally difference of opinion!

Had homebuyers through mortgage company. Flagged up loads of stuff but we new there would be quite a lot anyway as the house is in need of total moderisation.

Full building survey came back main differences were that:

HB said there was structural movement especially in a outbuilding. Said to get strucutural engineer or building surveyor. we did with no mention of this? How can one person say it is and one it isnt? Both are RICS approved supposedly.

Secondly HB said the roof needs complete new felting underneath and that the timbers are possibly need treating for woodworm etc.

Have instructed damp and timber survey will this outline any roofing costs that we may need? ie if the roof is leaking and causing the damp issues would these poeple fix the entire roof aswell as treating the timbers?

Is it a case that the homebuyers if covering everything possibl;e for the mortgage company??

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
