Hi everyone,
I'm currently having problems with getting faults removed from my credit report that are totally incorrect. I've contacted the guilty parties, Vodafone and Santander, via their customer services several times and been fobbed off or sent in circles. Anyone know where i stand legally with this and/or a quick and easy way of getting them removed?
Also any tips to quickly improve a credit score?
Thanks in advance.

WRITE to them (recorded delivery) explaining the issues and give them a deadline (e.g. 14 days) within which to remove the errors. If they fail (or decline) to do so then I believe you can sue them (but I'd wait for someone more knowledgeable to confirm).
WRITE also to the credit reference agencies to request the errors be removed.0 -
You can add a notice of correction on your credit file explaining why you consider a piece of data to be incorrect or misleading. This will be visible to any potential lenders.
Without more information it is hard to say if the defaults are incorrect, misleading or resonable.0 -
Hi brownybrown,
Firstly, I am sorry to hear that there has been some incorrect information recorded on your credit file.
If this is a genuine error, we will be more than happy to make the correct adjustments.
You can contact me personally via the address here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject. If you could also include a link to your post and a contact number, I will get in touch to discuss it further.
Many thanks,
Heidi
