Thanks Aesop, I have posted on there for some suggestions. I will have a look online at how much scales are. I am sick of going to the post office and nearly dying of shock at how much things cost! Do you know if the price of parcels went up when the price of stamps increased?

Well worth getting some - you'll save yourself the money they cost pretty easily by not undercharging for postage.
Before we got some digital ones as I wanted them for cooking anyway, we just had some Asda value normal kitchen scales! I used to put one of my sons big hard covered books on it instead of the little plastic bowl that's meant to go with them, then reset it to 0 obviously, but this gave me a nice surface to put things on to weigh so I could still see the display.

Prices of parcels always (I think always but definitely usually) goes up when normal stamp prices do. The last change actually simplified things a lot for parcels as whereas there used to be different prices for 0-100g, 101-250g, 251-500g, 501-750g etc, there is still 0-100g, but then 101-750g, so accuracy isn't as important, unless it is on that 750g borderline. For things like clothes this makes is much easier and less worrying that that extra bit of packaging is going to make it 251g rather than 249g which previously would have jumped the price up.

Here is the link to the 2nd Class prices.

I always use Second Class as standard, as this is cheaper for the buyer, but I do always say that I am happy to post 1st Class for the extra cost, and just request that buyers contact me first to say they need it quicker and would like to have 1st Class so that I can send them an invoice with the new P&P cost on.

Talking of postage, I was really pleased today as 4 of my parcels were just 1 or 2 baby tops, so easy to fold into Large Letter size, and were under 100g so I could whip out a book of normal 2nd Class large letter stamps that are stashed in my purse that I bought the day before the price increase last month and use some of them

    Tickled me, hehe

I was a good fairy today and went to a bootie even though i wanted to stay in bed :) i made £57.75 :) not my best day but a good wee boost to my total :) and a clear out of some carp :)

While i was there i saw and resisted buying a stool that i have been thinking about buying for a while so was pleased with myself for resisting. When i was leaving i was throwing out empty boxes and the stool was left sitting beside the skip - it had a screw missing so it decided it wanted to come home with me after all :) hahahaha! Am well chuffed with it and 2 mins will fix it :)

After the bootie i decided to make the most of the journey and call in to see my dad who lives about 5 miles from the sale - very mse as it saves me making another journey up later in the week........AND he decided to give me a lovely £100 while i was there :)

All in all a good day with £157.75 to add :) I could add a bit for the stool too but as i decided not to buy it originally i won't :p
