Aesop I had the same experience last night. About 4 months ago I upgraded my phone and a friend said if I wanted to sell my old phone she wanted it. So I looked it up on those phone recycling places and told her how much I wanted for it. She then told me she didn't have any money at that time so I sold it to someone else. She text me last night asking if I still had it

I've bought and sold a few things to friends without problem - although how good a friend they are depends whether it affects the price! :D And depending on what it is of course.
I was selling an old bedside table on Facebook not too long ago - asked £10 for it at first with next to no interest, so dropped to £8 and my friend commented that she wanted it, so I text her and said she could have it but just give me a fiver. I know that they don't have much money, and she's lovely, so I didn't mind. Especially when if it hadn't sold I was going to lower the price anyway as needed it out the way, and had said if it wasn't gone by the weekend we would Freecycle it anyway, so even a fiver was a bonus :)
She tried to offer me the £8 anyway but I wouldn't accept!
Sold something to another friend that was £2.75 so wasn't going to ask for less because it was already only a couple of pounds, but she was giving me the money when we were taking our kids to an indoor play area that costs £2.50 to get in, so I just said if she pays for my little one as well we'll call it quits! I wouldn't have felt right taking 25 pence off her!

Would never loan money to friends though!

How odd that this is the topic of conversation when I've just popped on to say I've sold something to a friend so I'm adding £5 to my total!!

depends where you buy it from, but these days wouldn't really want to pay more than £2 as they grow so fast.

Made £10 on ebay, and got two more threading apps. Unfortunately my cat was bitten by another cat yesterday and had to take her to the vets. Although it was PDSA which is not half as expensive as a 'normal' vets i liked to make a donation. Other than feeling a little sorry for herself she is okay, im just glad it was nothing serious.

So if i could sell them at £1 a pair or 4 pairs for £5 type of thing they are likely to sell quite well by the sounds of it :) think i may give it a go! Thanks Aesop! xx
