  • I have been decorating my bedroom all week. It was a horrid orange and brown wallpaper before (not my doing, the previous tenant must have been blind). The darn orange flowers in the wallpaper have taken FIVE coats of paint to get rid of. Really skint so had to pinch half used tubs of paint off friends. And got a curtain pole, curtains and light shade for free off of freegle which was nice.

Where did you buy your paint and gloss from?

B&Q, They have a 10% off for pensioners on either tues or weds, so if you know anyone with a card, grab em to come along :rotfl:

Shame you dont live close by, i have a shed full of all different shades of paint, some full tins!! typically though, No White which is what ive just bought :D

Been very MSE this evening. Whilst looking in the cupboard for some birthday cards (we have loads this month) I discovered a large pile of old birthday cards I'd been keeping to cut up for gift tags. So whilst DS was having his 'turn' on the computer I cut them up and then I made several greetings cards to be used at a later date. Used to do this a few years ago but just got sick of it, was feeling creative tonight. Hope to do a few every so often, who knows might even have enough for Christmas.

Yay, my late payer has just paid, her daughter had gone into labour! Just relieved that it is now a straight forward transaction.

My table arrived today, I paid £65 for a 6 foot solid pine farmhouse table that is worth £300. Whilst I'd love the money if I sold it, I love the feeling more of looking round the room knowing I own that! Now I just have to sell the old one :D

I found mine in the local paper, batted my eyelashes at the man and he said he couldn't bear to see a lady in distress and delivered today :D have you looked on eBay? It's taken me a while to find it and I was willing to pay up to £150 for a really nice one.
