you're wrong
you can open another S&S ISA and transfer your iii ISA to it. you have to transfer all or none of a current year ISA - for previous years you can split it up - but in this case you'd want to transfer all of it anyway.
possibly you shouldn't subscribe new money to the new ISA provider until the transfer from iii has completed. (not sure about this.)0 -
Still waiting for transfer to Selftrade. Anyone else in same boat?0

I am in a similar boat waiting for Cavendish Online.
Apparently my date of birth was illegible so I informed them by phone, it turns out that the phone call was ignored and my transfer was stalled for a month. Hopefully they haven't ignored my latest call and the transfer is back on track.0 -
Same here, with iWeb. I received a letter from them saying that they had contacted II but that these were unable to action their request at this time. So I send a message to II asking if there was a problem, and I was told not to worry, that they're working on it and reminded me that their timeframe for transfers is 6-8 weeks. They keep increasing this, I was told 4-6 initially. They must be overloaded with so many transfers.0

What is the mechanism for closing an account with these buffoons?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

If its empty just log in and message them. If its not empty, get it done by end of this month. Ask the new broker to start a transfer request
They still owe me my santander dividend from xmas. They seem to be trying their best to right any wrongs. They accidently sent my shares to the wrong place but apparently can undo this0 -
I got an e-mail from a service I previously used, Hoodless Brennan which is now known as HB Markets. I had transferred from them to iii as result of them selling their share dealing service.
Anyway, according to the email, they seem to be offering cheap option for £8 a trade with no other such fees as others.

You'll love this. I've got an ISA and trading account, linked. The £20 was taken from one (correctly because I've not yet left) but a dividend reinvestment just made from the other account had commission deducted. I queried why the dividend commission was payable on top and they said the £20 is only usable against trades in the account from which it's debited. NOT usable against any linked accounts. Glad I'm leaving....
If I were you I would get back on the telephone to them and double check this out, or maybe Im misunderstanding what you are saying. I too have an ISA & Trading accounts in my name if they say take the £20 charge out of my trading A/C but I do a deal from my ISA A/C I do not pay the £10 commission. Or are you saying the commission (@ the reduced rate) for dividend reinvestment ?0 -
Opened an Email from iii today looks like they have commissioned a survey to find out what people think about various Stockbroker firms including themselves. Has anybody else received one ? It makes one wonder.0

No, but would welcome it.....where should I start?
Probably more to the point, would I finish it before I die?0
