Scam Email!

Received this email today:

Hi there,

3 Days since i made the payment and no response from you. I want to make sure you`ll send me the correct item.
I don`t want you to send me the wrong item because as i said in my previous emails i`ll leave UK in 5 days.

This is the item that you have to send me: http;//cgi9.ebay.co.uk/itm/632-302155402366?sl=&item32bn851x

Make sure i get it in 3 days maximum.

Thanks,
Kelly

When I clicked on the link it took me to a fake Ebay sign in page... Are they phishing for my password?!

Yep phishing email, I had one similar but it was along the lines of "you said I could have the item and I see you have listed it again since I paid"

I checked the item number for the link they gave (going through ebay not the link) and the item had been removed.
As usual, never go through the links with these types of messages :)

That is the latest common scam, I have had 2 of them get through my spam filter alone today

Had them for ebay and Amazon recently.

Last one for ebay was advising me that a bid had been retracted on my item. Since I sell nothing via an auction and just do Buy it Now sales, it was simple to spot.

MIne are quite basic ones and very easy to spot as they are all very similar and have a bit fat link to press.

They are usually moaning about £300 items (when I don't sell goods that expensive) or bemoaning the fact I have answered them and the tracking is wrong...

I can't imagine falling for these, but since we get so many I suppose someone must otherwise they wouldn't bother.

Worryingly they also get through my spam filter- and even some work emails don't get past that!

EDIT: I had one from Play last week saying I sent them the wrong DVD, and I don't even sell on play which is strange.
