I have normal tv (no sky/cable), and dont want to go wasting money getting remote leads etc if its not gonna work!

You'll need a satellite dish but with that connected you'll get Free To Air channels,0

Q1 Does it work (ie power on etc) and display on your TV via scart

Even if you had a satellite dish, those boxes are so old now that they are painfully slow to use. My parents got sick and tired of their one and binned it. Not worth your time and effort tbh.brightonman123 wrote: »thanks- no leads, a v random find!0 -
You don't need a card. Plug it into a dish and you get the Free to Air channels without involving Sky at all.0

But if you have no sat dish & LNB handy or set up, then you do have a problem.
Not too easy for the layman, i use sat meters to set mine up and it can still be tricky on the more obscure sats.

no dish- have shared digital aerial on our building.. guess normal freeview it is then..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
