compare properties sold in my area

Can anyone tell me what the website is for finding out what the selling price was for other properties in your area.

  • Free sold-prices site with no registration is the Fish4homes service https://www.thisishouseprices.co.uk - just enter your postocde.

    Note that there are variations between sites as to the amount of data they have so you might want to look at a few of these to cover all the available properties.

    The data is generally limited and doesn't really help you to compare features with your own property unless you are familiar with the 'sold' property close to yours and can understand how your home compares directly in terms of features and condition.

    Generally, you would allow 5-10% over the (recent historic comparable) sold price in arriving at a reasonable asking price but this is dependent on the locality and how things are moving there.
