Experian took money - despite calling to cancel, to say annoyed is not the statment. Normaly you get an email confirming but lost track this month.

Lucky for me is I called from work, so will of been recorded if they wish to dispute it.

So beware, I called them and they said the advisor noted it on the system on 14/5 , but failed to select another button which cancels it. No offer for the inconvenience and dont even think they cared that I wanted to log a complaint. The advisors name was James, I wonder if its the same one as on here....
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Was it taken from your credit card?
If so phone your credit card provider and ask for any future payments to be blocked.
Then ask Experian for the money back.

If they refuse then dispute the transaction with the card provider.

Not to spend my life defending companies that don't need or deserve it, but you know what - sometimes mistakes happen. A better measure of a person or a company is how they deal with their mistakes once it has been drawn to their attention.

They are covered by the Financial Ombudsman , but people don't like to complain about them

Will Experian be keeping a note of your card number incase you wish to use the service again in the future ?

Really sorry for the error but happy we quickly put things right when you called back.

Certainly wasn't me you spoke to originally. I last worked in our call centre in the 90s!
