Put the kettle on a while ago then came on here! :mad: Now its boiled dry & smells awful! Thing is it has no lid - its a camping type that you fill thru the spout! -
any Ideas how I can clean it out - its still hot at the moment!:eek:

When it's cool, chuck a couple of ounces (50g) of dry rice grains in there. Add about half a pint (250-300mil) of COLD water - and give it to the kids to shake for about half an hour
Then put a tablespoon of bicarb into a jug full of water, mix well and pour it in. tp the kettle up to fairly full (but not all the way), and bring to the boil.

Kettle survived - gonna have to get the stardrops on the balck bits tho lol & is wonderfully descaled too as a bonus!I THINK is a whole sentence, not a replacement for I KnowSupermarket Rebel No 19:T0
