Well i might offer you £1 for it. If you pay the £80 fee to transfer it.
Pay to get it allocated?
Is it on a car now thats MOT'd? (i think it needs to be MOTd to transfer it)
Or is it on retention?
Have they offered £250, Or offered to advertise it and if it sells give you £250? Big difference.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Hi,
If you are being offered £250 outright for something that didn't effectively cost you anything then it sounds like you are doing okay. There is a fee of £80 to pay to DVLA to transfer the registration from your car. It is highly likely that the plate dealer will cover the fee and handle the paperwork, but best to check with them first of course.
Your car will be issued a replacement, age-related registration by DVLA as part of the process. Remember to notify your motor insurer and any recovery organisations if you change your car registration. You will also need to pay for and fit a new set of number plates to your car.
If you want a few alternative valuations, type 'number plate valuation' into Google and contact the companies listed.0 -
The reality is that it is worth £0.
The buyer has to pay the £80 transfer fee for a start, no one would pay much more if anything for such a plate.
Your best hope is that you find Mary Elizabeth Zebbidee who is looking for a private plate and really likes the number 69.
Reg transfers etc.. are a waste of time due to the commission they charge.
eBay is your best bet.0 -
i was going to say the plate is worth jack but it doesn't fit as it spells mez:D0

It's just a normal Northern Irish plate. See lots of cars with them on advertised on Ebay and Autotrader where the seller is trying to pass them off as a private plate!0

DVLA auction web site for registration numbers shows the above number removed from sale. Think about a mounting bolt between the two 1s that make the 11
