    Make sure you take a back up card!!!!

    I can see another thread now Santander blocked my card whilst in America lol

    One added little bit of advice.....Tell Santander that you might be using it abroad because their security will flag it as an unusual transaction and block it. It tried to buy tickets from USA online and was immediately contacted by Santander to check if it was a genuine purchase by me.

    Santander offer a full embossed debit card known as a Multi Function card. It is a visa debit card but its availability is based on your account management. Ring them up or visit a branch and they can check whats known as your behaviour scoring and see if you're eligible to upgrade to a proper debit card
