On a side note.
I have just spoken to BoS.
I have had the card since 2008 and cleared the balance off a couple of months ago. As stated I ordered a replacement card a few weeks ago and have put another 800 quid on it.
When I got my new card they sent me copy of my credit agreement and a letter saying they had closed my old account and opened a new one. The agreement states 10 months 0% from date of opening.
I just spoke to them and they said that was from when I opened the account in 2008. The actual APR now is 18.9%. She asked if I have used the card more than I would have if I was sure there was no 0% period. Of course I said yes and she said, as a good will gesture for me being "mis-advised" she has removed any interest due on my next statement.
Should I squeeze them for more than this? Sounds like they cocked up with the paper work.0 -
Morning all,
I have been playing with the snowball calculator posted in one of the stickies.
Seems like a great tool, and I now have a good idea on how I should prioritise my payments.
I am a little confused as to how I should set it up for one of the cards.
The lowdown:
Bank of Scotland CC - £2550 balance 19% interest
Nationwide CC - £1750 balance 0% for 20 months
Natwest CC - Purchases balance £1041 19% interest
Balance transfers balance £1800 0% for 14 months
I decided it would be best to put the Natwest CC balances is in as 2 seperate cards. In actuality though, I can only pay one payment to that card and it will automatically come off the highest interest balance (purchases)
There may be a simple fix that I can't see myself, so if anybody can think of one, please let me know.0
