Just got two of these (pork loins) and the cs guy only gave me my difference back even after asking for dtd he said it doesn't apply to this. I've left the store now but is there a way I can get this difference back?

I phoned customer services and got a nice guy who told me I should have been given dtd and was in the process of sorting it when my phone cut out.

I called back and couldn't get hold of the person who I orginally spoke to (forgot his name :() so another guy was helping me who then said he wasn't willing to give me the difference but instead said he'd post me a £5 gift card so all in all I've paid about £4.33 for two joints, would have been nice to get all my money back as it is my first try at dtd. In hindsight I should have maybe argued for dtd rather than accepting a just the difference.
  • Found one! (i hope)

Mens deodorant - Nivea For Men COOL KICK 250ml, £1.50 so £3.00 dtd.

I was planning to buy a one anyway when i noticed that the label on the shelf was half the price of the rest of the range (standard label, no sign of any clearance or offers). Checked my receipt afterwards and had been charged the £3 price of the other types.

Quick chat to the girl on CS and money back in pocket. This was the 24hr Hanley branch, cannot guarantee that it'll work elsewhere.

Just for newbies sake - once you've received DTD in one store in theory CS take down the wrong sel, so no one else can claim DTD.
Just saying so lurkers don't rush here lol !
    Great spot though :):)

I would advise caution in naming stores and the dtd you have had, there have been occasions on here when Tesco staff have joined the dots. You don't want to make life hard for yourself by identifying yourself by giving too much info on here.

hi, just got in from tesco, pork loin special price on shelf, £3.99 per kilo, pack price £7.99 per kilo, paid and then went to customer services, let me have them at reduced price, as this was my first time at a potential DTD was nervous as hell, and didn't query the offer :o
    will try again next time.
Does anyone just go in for the DTD'S or do they buy lots of shopping at the same time to make it look less obvious?

This happened to me so I phoned head office (used number found in elite 11+ thread in the gone but not forgotten board) and I'm not being sent the difference I didn't get in store as a gift card.
