Car share advice?

Hi
I'd like to set up a car share (not lift share) with someone.
I really miss the convenience / independence of a car but there is no way I need it all the time. Just one or two evenings a week and maybe every other weekend.
Can anyone point me to any advice? In particular I'd like to take a look at a template contract, and to know how people manage this with their insurance company.
Thanks in advance!
Tris

Crazy idea - let someone else do the work & worry eg Zipcar

Or traditional car hire for longer periods0 -
Hi John
I know, on the surface I take your point, however, I'm willing to put in a bit of work and worry for a gain on convenience and impulsiveness. Car hire can be pretty costly if you go for the full XS, and if you don't I ended up paying £300 for a broken windscreen wiper!!!! And the carclub schemes just don't cut it if you want to spend any time at your place of arrival. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
