Cavity Wall Insulation - Older Houses (<1900)

Hi,

I live in a c. 1890 end of terrace house - stone outer wall and brick inner wall with a 2" (ish!) cavity. The cavities are of the older "vented" type with at least 4 air bricks on the end wall.

I am thinking about getting cavity wall insulation installed and was wondering if anyone has any direct experience with a house built in a similar way to mine? I have read scare stories of damp problems since having CWI fitted in older properties but the stories seem to be rare and a bit "rantish".

Anyone got any direct experience?

Cheers,

Andy
