Photo for desktop

I received this cute photo by email and when I use it for my desktop it becomes blurred, the definition is not as good.
I would like to have the photo the same size as it is when viewed from the email. A border around the photo, say yellow , where I can then have my shortcuts/links showing clearly around the photo with the added bonus of retaining the photos clarity.
I've had a go in paint and I'm taking so long to fiddle around and get no where. Not ever had a proper go with paint but it looks alot of fun.
Help please.

What version of Windows are you using?0

You need to get a higher resolution image of your photo so you can use it without it being blurred when you use it as a desktop image.0

If the photo is from a mobile phone, or perhaps scanned, the get whoever sent it to send a high resolution version, may not be possible if from a mobileWhen an eel bites your bum, that's a Moray0

Right click the desktop and select properties. Click on desktop and you can add your photo and in the position dropdown then select centre (this will stop the stretching issue you have).
Then select the Appearance tab and click Advanced. Using this you can turn the desktop background Yellow and thus creating the border you wanted0
