We are now looking at a replacement TV for our trusty old Panasonic CRT, which has started to flicker a bit over the past few weeks, and the digital receiver (an ex On Digital Philips) is absolutely rubbish.
So, one plasma which has caught my eye is the LH 50" PV350T, which is 1080p, freeview and looks really great.
Has anyone any experiences of this TV?

Its a fairly old model now but you can read a lot of comments about it http://www.avforums.com/forums/lg-forum/1442385-official-lg-pv350t-plasma-thread.html

The most obvious consideration will be plasma -v- LCD/LED and given you are coming from CRT this is evidently a massively bigger screen than you had and do you really need 50" or would you prefer a better quality smaller screen for the same money?

Personally I would side with plasma rather than LED/LCD unless you are having a very bright room or a high risk of reflections from windows etc (again coming from CRT the later shouldnt be any worse than you're used to).

I ended up going for LED despite the better picture quality of plasma due to reflection issues that I had with the CRT and would have been worse with Plasma

Thanks, we are going to be sitting around 4 metres (12 feet) from the screen, and I love watching sports, documentaries and films. As for reflection, the sun only shines in the room in the evenings and we have quite heavy curtains, so that wouldn't be a problem. We already have a decent surround system, so wouldn't just rely on the set's sound.

I have to say that personally I dont like very big screens for day to day viewing hence the suggestion of a smaller better quality screen for the same money. I am fortunate enough to have a 40" screen which I think is plenty big enough for TV but also a 110" projector for watching movies, sport etc so get the best of both worlds.
