Floor Boards and insulation

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone one knew of any insulation you can put between floor boards.
I have 2 reasons for this a) to reduce the noise from downstairs and b) it will also retain some heat.

You can buy insulation for this in most big DIY shops. It will reduce noise a bit but as for the heat benefit I think that will help downstairs more than you as heat rises. So downstairs help to heat your flat at no cost to you just now.0
