Does anyone know the cost of using internet, call costs etc on the O2 network for the Samsung Galaxy S2, if you own the phone and just use PAYG ?
I am thinking of buying the phone outright, but am just weighing up the costs of PAYG..against having a contract.

I am on O2 and pay £15 per month PAYG. I then get unlimited calls & texts to other O2 customers (all my family & other half are on O2). Out of the £15 I pay £10 for 1GB data allowance Bolt On which, as I have wireless broadband at home I dont get near to the limit. I then have my £5 credit left for the month which I dont usually spend. The next bolt on down is £7.50 for 500MB although this was not enough before I had broadband installed (I am a heavy internet user though).0

I bought a Galaxy S2 outright and am on a sim-only contract with Orange for £7/month. I was on O2 at £15 but I was accumulating too much money month on month without using up all the credit so it made sense to step down. All depends how much you use your phone. All in all though, I'd say O2 is a better service than Orange - both in terms of speed and network coverage.0

Have a look at Giffgaff. I think they use the O2 network and seem to have some good deals.

giffgaff do indeed use the O2 network. Not surprising really considering that giffgaff is ultimately owned by Telefonica, and their registered office is at O2's address in Slough.
giffgaff Limited, registered in England and Wales, registered office address: 260 Bath Road, Slough, Berkshire SL1 4DX, UK (company number 4196996)How do I add a signature?0
