Thorntons Chocolates for 60p instead of £6

Thank you for this advice - I have uninstalled the app and didn't buy the chocolates! Not worth it!

Exactly what everyone's been saying - tried last night, tried this morning, tried just now - NO USE! Crappy app, and dubious too...

it sounds like this is simply a method of verifying the registrants name and address match. obviously they need to do this with a product registered on a mobile phone to prevent fraud or identity theft.

they ran a simlar promo to launch the app before easter and sold £14.99 thorntons easter eggs for 1p on another site loads of people were very happy with there service sadly i missed out on it
so i registered this time and had the same problems people are saying about my card not being recognized and gave up but then i checked my emails and found the varify email which i did then the order for my 60p chocs went through fine
as someone else said you would be surprised no matter how carefuly you think you are with your details several big named and trusted sites and shops take, keep and use your details everyday and do checks on you and its nothing sinister

Has anyone has a confirmation from thorntons directly yet? I ordered yesterday and got an email confirming payment by simply tap, telling me that I should recieve an e-mail from thorntons confirming the order, but have had nothing.
