I initially had issues setting up the credit card details as mentioned above with that 'Oops' message but then - remembering the blog entry about the crappy address databases - I entered the building address rather than my own flat address (within that buidling). These seemed to work. I then edited the delivery address to my actual prooperty but at least it worked.
I used an iphone.0 -
I've downloaded the app, typed in the code first but get a message -
Oops we have not been able to process your request this time. Please try again.
Happens over and over and the same if I try to register via my phone.
:-(
maybe the iphone app is buggy? or their servers are overloaded with MSEs
Andy
I just received this back in an email
I apologise for the trouble you have been experiencing whilst trying to order the Thorntons chocolates. This particular offer is exclusive to first time simply tap customers only. Existing customers who try to order this particular item will incur an error message; this will result in the order being unsuccessful.
Although the order has not been successful you may find the funds have been reserved by your bank. Your transaction will be released by ourselves overnight on the day you have attempted the purchase and we will not take any funds, however in the meantime you will need to contact your bank in order for the funds to be re-released back into your account.
Simply Tap values its customers and we try to ensure we deliver 100% customer satisfaction. I hope this has not deterred you from using our app in the future.
If I can be of any further assistance regarding this matter please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind regards
Will at Simply Tap
I went direct to simplytap after seeing it advertised in the MSE email, and didn't realise it was for first time users only!!!
I have been in touch with my bank as i had the same problems as yourself and my bank had put a block on my card as they thought someone was trying to commit fraud. I have ten payments of 60p on hold with the bank but have been told i will receive them back into my account after midnight tonight.
You may want to check with your bank that the same thing has or has not happened to yourself, as they had put a block on my card, which i would not have known about otherwise until i had gone to use it this afternoon whilst getting my shopping.Very proud to be Strip club member No 430 -
Well I am a first time user, I've never heard of simplytap before!
I haven't got nearly close enough to put any payment details in so I'm not at risk financially.
With hindsight a little less chocolate in my life is no bad thing;)0 -
sorry simplytap / Thorntons it could be a weird wifi problem in my office...0
