We had our panels fitted back in January but have not had any payment I have contacted EDF twice each time have been told the same thing they are waiting for us to be put on the register when this is done they will request a meter reading should be done in the next few weeks but then nothing happens don’t know what to do about it is there someone I can complain to or do I just have to wait and wait I have been reassured that the payment will be back dated to installation date so that's ok but why so long

Enter your details here to check if your installation is registered: http://www.ref.org.uk/fits/search.php
I understand that it is updated quarterly, which could account for the delay. If its registered, give the FiT ID to EDF to speed things up.
PS. Only enter the first half of your postcode.0 -
Portvilla, have you had your contract yet from EDF?
They should have acknowledged your application quite quickly, and registered that date for FITs, but processing it and sending out the actual contract for signing and return, seems to take them many, many months.
Once the contract has been signed and returned, you still won't get to submit readings until the next quarterly due date (1st June). So if it's all been done, then hopefully on Friday you'll get an e-mail telling you to submit your TGM reading before the end of June.
The timeline for me was, installed 8/8/11, application sent on the 9th, registered on the 10th. Contract received at the end of October, first TGM request 1/12/11.
Their payment terms are 'upto 90 days from the end of the month in which a reading is requested'. So that's up to 4 months, but they seem to be paying towards the middle / end of the following month lately.

Interesting site that - hadn't realise the school round the corner from where we live had managed to get a 46kW system on their roof! We have a community company which was installing these systems on schools or other community facilities - this is the biggest in Bath at present!Adventure before Dementia!0

I suggest that you follow the standard EDF complaints procedure:

You don't need ALL the information. Just fill in the details you know, Postcode, Commissioning Date and Kw should narrow it down enough. So far all I have received from EDF is emails apologising for the delay I have a look at the link you offered but it askes for the FIT ID don’t have anything like that so cannot go any further with that as it is now 6 months from installation I would like to make a complain to someone big question who EDF - Ofgem any adviseAre you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

I also had a PV installation 6 months ago, and EDF still haven't even asked me for a meter reading yet. They emailed me at the end of March to say that they were processing the application, but I haven't heard anything since.
It's pretty shoddy.:mad:If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -
Stupid jobsworths - when I sent the form in, I sent a copy of the EPC because although their form hadn't been updated to include a request for it, I knew that they needed to know what band my house was in. So I then get a letter asking me to complete a form to confirm what band my house is in - the letter even acknowledges that I'd sent a copy of the EPC! Talk about paperwork for paperwork's sake - its no wonder energy prices are high to cover all this unnecessary work!Adventure before Dementia!0
