British Gas Websaver 11 Deal Expiring

My BG Websaver 11 deal expires in a few days and British Gas are trying to get me to sign up to their Online Energy tariff.

Online energy provides a 4% discount against the standard tariff (the tariff mine reverts to shortly) until 31st Jan 2014.

They also claim I will receive £50 energy credit in November if I sign up.

Anyone of there able to advise if this is a good deal or not?

It depends what other deals there are for your area and consumption. Go on a price comparison website to see what could be better.

In my case (a 3 bed semi, dual fuel, in the South West), there were only marginal savings by changing to another supplier and so I signed up to stay with BG on the Online tariff and at least I know that I am saving 4% for 18 months and getting a £50 bonus as well. As there is no penalty for coming out of the Online deal it seemed like a sound move to me.
