Posting a question for my brother!
He's applied for a 0% card with RBS. The terms and conditions state

Does this mean that if he pays a catalogue off with the card or transfers a credit card balance that as long as he spends no extra money on it at all then the balance on the card will remain at 0% interest after the 13 months have expired? As it says 0% fixed on purchases made within the first 13 months? (Obviously he'll be paying at least the minimum payment!)
thanks for your help x

He will not get the 0% after the 13 months have passed, it means that any purchases made within the next 13 months will be at 0% then after that will revert to advertised rate.
If he makes any balance transfer then he will benefit from 13 months at 0% made within 3 months of account opening, but the countdown start from the day the account is opened.0 -
No, the interest will revert to the standard APR of 15-16% after the 13 months. I can see where you are coming from, but it just means that there is 0% apr on purchases for 13 months, before the rate goes up to the standard APR.
The balance transfer has to be made within three months of opening the account otherwise, again, the standard 16% apr will apply.0
