Q. on tiling, minimising number of tills to cut

After having measured my bathroom walls and preferred tiles, I've found I'm 4cm 'short' when using whole tiles from bath to ceiling.

So the obvious solution is to insert a 4cm band around the wall in the form of a tile border.

However 4cm seems thinner than tile borders, and even cutting strips from a mosaic tile looks iffy.as each mosaic piece is 25mm

Any ideas? I was wondering if I could 'close' the 4cm to 3cm by fractionally increasing the gap between tiles?

unless your walls are perfectly square you should really have a cut tile at the top and bottom so that any our os squareness is lost and all joint lines are horizontal and true

I'm sorry to say that your setting out wrongly, you should look to have a cut tile on both sides and top\bottom because, as the previous poster says most walls\floors\ceilings arent plumb or level - the way your heading is actually going to create you a lot more work that the cutting your trying to avoid.
