Rogge didn't say that London was the best games ever. That was conveniently missed out after Greece too. I'm disappointed in that. Maybe he said it in French and I didn't hear, don't think so though. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Press the button with a white 'R' on a red background.
That's it, one button to press once and the programme is recorded - from the moment you started watching it to the end of the programme.
Got control back of the remote and found the lympix again... just as Freddie was making a comeback.
Left flattie fast asleep with the end of the ceremony on ....0 -

I read somewhere that they have "officially" stopped saying that at the end of the Olympics and that Sydney 2000 was the last time it was said (and it wasn't said after atlanta either - probably because the Atlanta olympics were rubbish.0 -
DD2 texted to wake me up because The Who were closing the show. Now that's what I call a loving, thoughtful daughter. :A
I didn't let on that I'd known they were doing it for at least a week...:rotfl:0 -
I went to bed at eric idol.....its where my lack of britishness shows, i cannot stand it or him.
Cameron and johnsonn bopping might have been bad, bur not half as bad as george michael who looked like that embarrassing uncle at a wedding, stiff hipped, stiff jointed and mutton dressed as lamb. I thiught it was cringe worthy.
Hurrah for fatboy slim.0 -
Brilliant closing ceremony IMO.
I'm biased though.
I think it's all been brilliant and I had an amazing last weekend.
Up at 5am to go to Eton Dorney again on Sat.
Saw Ed McKeever win gold.
<sings> And then I saw Ed's face, now I'm a believer! :j
Then to the Olympic park to see the womens bronze medal handball game. KOR vs ESP. Spain won in DOUBLE overtime. Delighted as I'd been cheering for Spain!Absolutely fabulous game.
Then on Sunday over to Excel again, but this time for the boxing. The noise in the last round for Joshua's fightback was simply deafening. The place went mental, MENTAL, when his hand was raised aloft at the end. :j
The Olympic experience has simply been the best sporting experience of my life.
:T
Now, after 2 weeks off, it's back to work......

Actually, i think the five minutes bopping about in front of the tv has taken its toll, my arms ache a bit at least. I am up thinking about flylady, while surveying the wreckage that is my home. I have to go out tothe builders area for a bit of tidiness, between them husband and parent seem to have trashed the sittingroom.
I dunnow where to start, so i am having a cup of tea while i think about it.
New to us bed arrives today as well.0 -
On the spice girls, I'm with Viva that someone could have taken posh out the back & shot her...
Emma Bunton still looks bang tidy, as ever though;)
Was suprised to see Gary Barlow there given the week he's had. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
An interesting point raised in the papers.
Has the nation (or even the world) gained weight during the Olympics?
Due to the mass conversion of 10s of millions of people into couch potatoes?:DThere is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
