    They'd be counting the chips and calculating the VAT/chip though... and when VAT should be applied legally... then they'd get cold!

    No VAT on potatoes, or on frozen chips. But if you buy them from the chippy then they have to charge you VAT. There you see, much more interesting than talking to arty/creative types.

    I remember the rules years ago used to be that if you took your chips outside, there was no VAT, but if you sat and ate them on the premises, there was VAT.

    Pastures I was looking out for you.

    We left from P. A lovely motor boat which we took along the Jurassic coast and dropped anchor in a bay to have lunch.

    I do not usually go so far west but was knocked out by how lovely it all was.
