Oh dear .... how many miles away do they live? They'd not get it until Tuesday by post.

I went out driving today ... quite a long way. Got there easily enough, but lost my house coming back.... chose the wrong town to return to, followed the signs (it was dark) and ended up on the wrong side of the town.... adding 10 minutes to my journey, but annoying me for being so daft. I now know though, that for the purposes of road travel I live in "P" and not "B".

... upon my return I'd also lost my "slot" - and some idiot's decided to park in the middle of blocking everybody in .... leaving me inadequate space at one end and only just enough space at the other end. Having parked, on a slope .... I then realised that in only blocking residents here (not neighbours) ... I could no longer get into my boot.... no worries, only my laptop bag and other miscellaneous stuff in the boot... came in, fired up my laptop and ... just realised the bl00dy power lead's in the boot. So I am only here untl the batteries run out as I am not getting dressed to go outside to move the car, to get the lead, then moving the car again.... along with associated clunking of locks and flashing of lights and slamming of the big boot door :)

....On the bright side, it's quicker to write P. :)

That's another place I know reasonably well, because my DD2 lives in B.

Last year, she lived in P.

I'm not sure if B's supposed to be better or worse, but as she no longer has mushrooms growing on the bathroom skirting boards, it's almost certainly better. ;)

When I go walkabout, I know that I pretty soon come to the signs saying "Welcome to P...." so I am right on the border. Road-wise though, it seems when there's a choice between P or B when coming from the North.. I should pick P and not B.

As for better/worse.... I'm in the posh seats between them :)

Somebody rolled in late/drunk? about 5 minutes ago - they're having a good go at waking everybody up with a series of bangs... noisy b4st4rds.

Went on a sort of date last night with the old friend I have recently reconnected with...sort of date because two of my boys were with me and one of his boys with him! We went to the beach where the boys threw stones in the sea (for 3 hours!) and me and old friend talked. They did have a break from throwing stones for a wee while as we had the highly romantic meal of a portion of take away chips in paper while sat in a beach shelter talking about Captain Jack and Iron Maiden (me and his son on Captain Jack, him and my boys on Iron Maiden).

We are all meeting up again on Monday for a proper trawl down the prom, taking in the attractions usually meant for the tourists.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

While I was out yesterday, I'd left my phone in my bag, which wasn't always with me..... and so it wasn't until quite late that I picked it up and realised I'd had 2 missed calls and 2 texts.

It was my sibling, re my old.... old's had a fall, banged their head on furniture, lots of blood... and had been carted off to hospital, fixed and returned almost as good as new.

The old's going to be having a lot of falls as they're quite fast moving, but have lightheadedness and the feet aren't always going at the same pace as the brain/upper body are trying to .... so I expect quite a few falls.

This is the benefit of a home... somebody's there to help/spot them and deal with it. You don't get a call from some random carer that's discovered them after 10 hours.... you get a call saying what's happened and that it's all been dealt with and everything's fine.

For the past month I've not been the Primary Contact either, that joy falls to my older sibling, so they had the call and then just had to try to inform me... except I was uncharacteristically not available ... and I feel no guilt, which is good.
