    Bookwise:

lemonjelly: I have Alex Garland's 'The Tesseract', can't remember plot (I'm terrible at remembering books and films after I've finished them, although it is over 10 years since I read that one), but do remember quite enjoying it. Don't think it was quite as good as The Beach, but still worth reading.

michaels: I have Hunger Games books - let me know :) Otherwise, I got them from http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/qs_product_tbp?storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=100&productId=252934&searchTerm=hunger+games

(though having looked they are out of stock - not suprised as that is an excellent price)

PN: am I right in thinking I don't need to find Takeaway Secret from my pile of stuff?

Great day off work so far, I have spent the entire day glued to my blackberry, doing work, except for one hour when I managed to tear myself away to go for a run in Richmond park when I managed to do 10k in my slowest ever time.

    Rubbish.

Anything under a couple of hours is good for 10k.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

It's all relative isn't it. 58.35 which is more than 10 minutes slower than my fastest time (albeit that was on a treadmill).

Still faster than the car I am now in is travelling around the m25.

That's pretty impressive. I do 3k in 20 minutes on the treadmill and it's a bit longer when on the road.

Right, I need to go to waitrose and see what catches my eye since no one said what they wanted today

I cannot compute km. i ran in miles when i ran. I was not worried about beating my time after a while but rather running for about the same tme and making the run harder. Still hate hills now:o

Found a shop selling 1-man, 2-man and 3-man inflatable dinghys...... £15 for a 1-man. No idea how big the one they had blown up at the door was..... tempted..... but then realised I'd have to carry it 4 miles, so I plodded on.

I walk in miles... slowly. I'm an ambler. Today I did 10 miles - feet are burning/killing me..... walked to the ferry, then it tipped it down so I got on the bus and ended up in a small seaside town, where I ambled around for a bit, then got some (cr4p) chips and sat on the beach and ate them... then I caught the bus back to the ferry and walked home from the ferry.

I use a google map pedometer to see how far I've gone, so I know I've not over-exaggerated my journey :)

I don't think you sound like you are exaggerating.

If you amble, pace yourself and just potter lead by interest is not that difficult to walk ten miles daily. If people thinkfor example what they might cover in a city break weekend.

I like walking and find ambling and looking round great fun. Only wish my body agreed!:o:D

I took a photo of the one on the outside, with the prices... in case a random Internet nutter said "ooooh get me one!".
