I've had DD1's birthday present back in my inbox.

I flew her to Spain to have these done, with some Russian friends on the coast of Malaga.

I'll go through the morals of kids dying their hair at another point. I personally see nothing wrong with it!

What do you think? (link will go tomorrow night)

Saw the Olympic torch relay today...gorgeous weather for it, loads of people had turned out and it felt really special.

I'm one of 6 for our town tomorrow. That's also going to be special.

I'll try and get some photos before they go to press!

DD looks great but I am torn between it is great that you can spend your money without feeling guilt and that kids should learn that life is about working hard to get what you want and giving them too much doesn't help them learn that.

How old is she? In some photos she looks 8 and others 18. She is beautiful.

I disagree. No harm in treating your kids, once in a while (or more often).

If there needs to be a message, isn't it that Daddy works hard so the family can afford nice things.

Daddy works very hard for the lifestyle that we have, and I don't do things like that very often.

She had flights for me, her and 4 friends, a night on a friends sofa, and free use of a friends boat and outfits. Total cost = about £700! I don't think for the experience she had, that's too much to ask.

Can I ask you remove the link please? I'm going to be getting rid of it pretty sharpish!

The clue's in the album title SilverCar ;)

Thank you! I still don't know where the blue eyes come from (both are blue, we're both green), but they look amazing!

Hang on a moment... Am I reading that correctly? You're a torch bearer?! How did you keep that quiet? That's very exciting! Congratulations, what an amazing experience :)

Edit: Also agree that your DD is stunning :)

    Yes, I am!

I'm on the front page of the local paper this week, too, praising me for my work over the last 5 years with young homeless people and the fact I've donated £5,000 of my spare government [STRIKE]stash[/STRIKE] grant from last year to the YMCA, before it goes back centrally!

I was hoping to keep it quiet until Sunday, when it was done

Did you take the photos? Looks like a professional photographer was involved.
