    I can ask... but that creates a 40 mile round trip every day .... and there's no internet or phone signal there.... which doesn't make things easy for googling/contacting/arranging stuff.

    I had no idea purch was "down this way", so to speak.... That puts him in 2nd closest position to my house ... a position I thought LIR occupied. LIR now moves into 3rd closest position .... but in the next 1-3 months might become my closest.... I've a whole new geography to learn!

    No, it was all sensibly throught through, on the basis of hearing Hamish argue about house prices, hearing your offspring's opinion of Cairo, and living in the black country for c.16 years. Plus I don't dye my hair!

    I've assumed that insurance is the same (mine's cheaper) and tax is the same (saving (I think) £75 a year), as with servicing.

    Most of that is purely on fuel consumption :)

    No idea where they live.... I thought everybody except me/Dave/LIR were pretty much in Herts, near Herts or oop North.
