£2.93 on lunch again - with the change from £3 in the comic relief pot - done that 3 times now, so a whopping 21p to charideemate. You know what they say, that charidee starts at home.

Talking of, my latest harebrained project is to buy a faulty iPod mini and replace the hard drive in it with a compact flash card. My 40gb iPod is broken, and I want a replacement without caning my bank balance. The idea is thus: 8gb iPod nano - £170. Broken ipod mini - £20, 8gb Compact flash card £45 - a saving of over £100 I'm not bothered about the form factor or the colour screen, just want a replacement mp3 player! (plus a little project).

    £5.40 on ebay postage
£0.37 on a Creme Egg for the new Creme Egg Challenge (aiming for 3 days or more)
£1.88 for lunch because I forgot to bring mine in today. Grrrr.

£1.88 was the cheapest I could get and I never even used to think about that. This is the first time I have bought lunch in a month. I used to spend at least £2.50 five days a week on lunch. What a waste of money that was.

Also, my lovelies, here's a another puff-piece article dispelling myths of personal finance. Is quite entertaining.

Afternoon PAP ... the creme egg challenge is my own personal challenge so no links except my debt diary.

I love creme eggs. Last week I bought one and managed to make it last 2 days before I ate it - I have been known to gobble a box of 6 within minutes so this is something of an achievement!

So, I'm aiming to beat 2 days with this one. The rule for me is that the Creme Egg has to be in plain sight - no hiding it a drawer and forgetting about it! Mine sits on top of my pen holder at work ... right by my computer monitor.

It means that I have a junk food treat available when I feel like it. But at the same time holding off eating it for as long as possible means:
    a) it tastes better when I finally eat it
    b) i'm not tempted to spend money on other junk food because I have a creme egg!
    c) i'm not tempted to eat creme egg after creme egg. Good for my waistline as well as my purse.

So it is a silly a little challenge I have for myself. But you are welcome to join me if you want :)
