V5 to DVLA

Do people just send these off as ordinary post??

Weird q I know, but worries me that it will get lost in the post or something and then have no record of me no longer being the registered keeper of the vehicle.

Do people send it off recorded??

Don't worry, the onus is on the DVLA to prove you didn't send it not you to prove you did.

If you live close to a DVLA Local Office you can hand your V5C in personally, notifying the change of keeper.

I've always sent mines 1st class, retaining a copy and never had any issues.
