clinique cityblock SPF25

I use Vichy Capital Soleil Mat Micro-Fluid for Face SPF 50+. I have oily skin and have found that this is the only thing that works on my skin. It doesn't feel heavy or look greasy which is a must for me. I use my moisturiser, then put this on then after a little while I put my powder on which helps to give me a matte look and helps get rid of shine

I too found Clinique City Block too greasy for my face. It caused spots on my T zone.
To be honest i havent found on that i am completely happy with. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
The best sun lotion for face I have ever ever found is this:
http://www.amazon.com/Biore-Dual-Fusion-Moisturizer-SPF/dp/B001P60R0Q
I looked for a non greasy face sunlotion for ages, and found this in Oz when I was travelling, and then stocked up in the US, so far I havent been able to find it here.
if you can buy it online Id definitely recommend it. Its half moisturiser and half sun lotion, and neither are greasy.
The only annoying thing is sometimes it can be hard to get it to come out and you have to pump it and even whack it and take it apart lol, but once it comes out, its great!0 -
I'm going to agree with the majority here - I also didn't like it. I thought. It was really greasy and it wasn't clear, it had a colour to it. I got a keying sample a swell as a full sized but I think they are both different factors and I didn't like either. X£254/£12,000 challenge... Only £11,746 to go! Wish me luck!

Well, it seems to be a general thumbs-down for the cityblock. I won't shell out on it but i might see if there are any sample size ones around. Sometimes EBay do the keyring ones for under a fiver.
Anyway, it seems that since I asked this the sunny weather's gone, it's been windy, much colder and pouring with rain :rotfl:0 -
Just because you can't see the sun... Haha x£254/£12,000 challenge... Only £11,746 to go! Wish me luck!

I also found the clinique one very greasy, although I haven't used it in a couple of years so the formula may have changed. I'm thinking of trying the ultrasun face one, as that gets rave reviews. I'm not sure it really will last all day on one application and it's fairly pricey, but is on my current wish list!:happyhear0

.. well, I managed to get hold of a sample size SuperCityBlock (SPF40). I don't put a moisturiser on underneath it, just put it straight onto cleansed skin, and it doesn't seem too greasy, but it's a bit more than I'd want just for everyday wear.
I guess it does feel and look more like a foundation than a sunscreen and I usually don't wear foundation (only when I'm going out somewhere..) I don't think I'd want to be putting a foundation on over the top of it, even though Clinique say it's a primer.
Maybe I will try the CityBlock SPF25 and see how that compares. I'm also trying some other brands of sunscreen for the face to see if I can find one that's not too greasy. La Roche-Posay SPF30 AC looks good, so hoping to try that next
