Barclays stalling = I lose money - can you help

On April 20, Barclays offered to pay me £3,397 in a PPI payout.
I accepted it and posted the form, opting for Barclays to pay me via a bank transfer.
I've not received the money yet so called them just now and was told it usually takes eight to 12 weeks.
Each month, I pay £100 minimum payment on my barclaycard.
£25 of that reduces the balance, £75 goes on interest and 'new transactions' (even though I've not used the bloody card in two years).
Obviously, I plan to use the payout to pay off the card.
So each month Barclays delay, I lose £75.
Can I do anything to speed things up?

PPI payments take are made within 28 days but can take longer depending on individual circumstances, so no there isn't much you can do about it part from paying more than just the minimum payment....0

I can understand paperwork but 8 to 12 weeks is horrendous when you consider that a bank transfer is completed worse case in 10 minutes and then in your bank in maximum 5 working days.
Nag them and ask them to explain the delay0 -
I've had two PPI refund claims from Santander. The first was complete within 7 working days (they said 10). I've just processed the second, and again they said 10 working days, so I expect it in my account this week or early next. 8-12 weeks sounds an age!Santander Loan [STRIKE]£3003[/STRIKE] £2100AA Credit Card [STRIKE]£3148[/STRIKE] £2676Natwest OD [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] £1370Cahoot OD [STRIKE]£1000 [/STRIKE]£650Capital One Card [STRIKE]£641[/STRIKE] £400Total [STRIKE](Jan 12)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£9546 [/STRIKE] £7196 (Now)0

I am having the same problem with M & S Money. They upheld my claim, made an offer and I sent the acceptance back special delivery as I was also required to send documentation regarding my change of surname. They received the paperwork on 1st May (I phoned them to check) and was advised they have a turnaround of 28 days for payments and were currently working to it. 29 days later I called them yesterday as no payment has been received. I was then told they had until the end of the month (tomorrow) to deal with my claim. In the same conversation I was told my claim was in a queue to be worked on in the next day or two and I may get my money in the next few days or in a week or so! What are they playing at? Grrrrrr! I am sure if I was paying a bill to M & S they would not accept this response from me!0

Pester the hell out of them until they pay out or give a reasonable answer.
I could get the money to you quicker by riding there on horseback and drawing each bank note by hand, 8-12 weeks today when everything is electronic is not on.Oh, you wee bazza!0
