    there is help for disabled people at uni,did you make any effort to access that help before you gave up?

    I don't know why they let me in. My predicted grades were AAAA and I think I had some kind of special consideration because I was ill so maybe they took that into account.
    I found the work difficult because it was a lot of self-directed study (also the reason I struggled at A-Level) and I wasn't motivated enough and didn't know how to plan my time. For example, they'd say "You have 1 month to do this" and I'd have no idea how to break the question down or work out what was required of me.

    I had support from the disability services, they gave me a PA for lab sessions, but it didn't really help.

    Hi.
    It may be worth taking a look at Sheffield University.My son is 14 and has AS and dyspraxia.I have come across various speakers both students and staff from Sheffield who have reported excellent support for students with AS.
