Apple have disgusting work standards in the far east. Remember when they had that suicide protest going on (I think it was last year) where workers were throwing themselves off the roof of a factory. Appalling, and precisely why I won't give them a damn penny. They treat their factory staff like crap, slaves practically, get their stuff made for next to nothing and then bump up the price ten-fold to sell to people here in the west.

I noticed another OP like this one by you the other day.

And it seems clear to me, you aren't asking for an informed debate, but have an axe to grind with large tech companies?

So many are now addicted to Facebook, and despite the recession many still seem willing to throw their money away on rubbish regardless of the consequences. Therefore I would not rule out that Facebook could start charging users and get away with it.

(Having said that I did not buy any shares and have no intention of doing so.)
No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.

  • I bought some at about $35, and sold the next day, glad I did now it dropped under $30

And it will drop even more.
Just read a few analysis like these:

I'm already starting to feel sorry for all the people that really bought during IPO though.

you probably have bad feelings about endless things that are tech or successful or actively promoted... but, in the end, your 'bad feelings' are just an element of piety that makes you feel you're doing something in the world. i'm sure you don't post the many occasions when you have a 'bad feeling' and nothing 'bad' happens because that would make you look like a chump and who would do that?

in the end, all these comments, when there's no open-ended question implied, tend to be posturing and self-aggrandising. not that i'm particularly bothered but please don't think you're doing much except mild ranting... those that agree will agree, those that don't, won't because there's nothing much in what you say that is constructive, educational or asking for other's opinions. you've already made your position clear but i'm not sure exactly why you feel the need to be so... self-congratulatory about it... it's a bit like looking at photos of yourself, admringly and expecting others to admire you too.

there's no scam, no bilderberg conspiracy, no secret facebook agenda other than realising lots of people would buy a share because of its profile so they pitched it at the upper end of the scale.

    sincerely
