Hi all
We booked 7 SAVER rooms for a wedding later this year with travelodge.
We didn't take travelodges cancellation insurance and becuase its a saver room weve been told we can only amend the booking date not the location.
Is there any way of getting our money back ? maybe through claiming off the credit card it was paid on ?
thanks
J

No. The CC company will not be interested as it's your failure to go through with the booking, not a failure on the part of Travelodge.0 -
Why on earth should the creditcard company bail you out because you failed to take out insurance ? Travelodge offer two prices -non refundable saver prices and more expensive flexible reservations. You chose the inflexible option so the responsibility will be considered yours. If the wedding is now cancelled perhaps you should attempt to claim back from the wedding party's wedding insurance.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Why not go and just have a couple of days just for the hell of it.
My OH and I often do this.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
Saver rooms are priced as the are because it takes into account that you can't cancel them. It's a condition of booking, so you'll have to live with it... as Duchy has already said.
I've never heard of any way round it, and I'm sure you can't even change the names either so no good selling to anyone else.0 -
Hi all
Thanks for the replies
They all confirm what we believed to be true
Thanks for your time

You could maybe try selling them. It's probably against Travelodge T&Cs but I've stayed there loads of times and never been asked to provide the credit card that I booked with or any sort of proof of who I am.0

The trouble with selling them on is that the new ones could trash the room, smoke in it etc and the OP would get the bill.
Give/sell it to friends/family but no one else.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0
