Buildings Insurence on previously subsided property

We bought our property 10 years ago. It had just been pyled because of subsidence. We have continued our insurence cover with the company who had paid for the work, now owned by Zurich. I have just tried to get a quote fron Norwich Union and they have declined our application because of the previous subsidence. Dose anyone know how common this is, should we stick with Zurich as I am worried about being turned down by insurence companies as I am often asked if I have ever has insurence delcined.
