Ocean Fiinance - where do I start??

After hearing some success stories from my friends, I've decided to give this a go.....
So, Ocean Finance. Years ago my husband and I took out a £17K loan with Ocean Finance, which we paid off a few years later when we remortgaged.
I'm pretty sure we would've had to have PPI as we were a high risk, despite the fact I know we didn't really need it (both had steady jobs that included full sick pay). As we were desperate for the money, we agreed to it.
I've looked at the threads on here for Ocean Finance and understand they've changed hands and people aren't having luck with them. I have no idea who the loan was underwritten by so where do I go to get the initial details of the loan? Will the new Ocean Finance be able to provide these?
