Getting tyre looked at by non main dealer during warranty period?

Our car is still in its warranty (from new) period. We think one tyre may have a slow puncture. We're going away on holiday soon (long drive) so want to get it checked ASAP. Due to work, it's not practical to get to the main dealer before we go away so we want to go to a tyre place near MrTeapot's work.
Is this OK under the warranty? The tyres aren't Ford anyway obviously so I assume a tyre can be replaced without it messing up the car's warranty(?).

No one should ever go to main dealers for consumable items, tyres, wipers, bulbs etc, ie anything that isnt covered by the warranty0
