How long to update credit reports...?

in Credit cards
I have been trying to check my credit reports but I tried a couple of free trials several years ago and now it seems I have to pay! Anyway, I haven't missed any payments and don't have any debts, although I do have available credit on cards and an overdraft.
I am about to move house but also want to apply for a CDL. I am wondering how long it will take for my credit files to be updated in terms of my address. I assume that I tell the council I have moved for council tax purposes as well as signing on to the electoral register and then they update my credit files. How long will that take before I can then apply for a loan? Thanks!

28 days plus.
For the electrol roll it will depend when you move as there is a closed period each year where it adds another 3 months. I moved in the closed period and it took about 4 months to show. The wife asked to be added in mid March and its still not showing (the council confirmed to her she would be added in the version published in May)
Others were much quicker at informing the agencies of the new address, was done in the next cycle which for most of my lenders is around the 6-10th of the month0 -

Thanks for that. I assume the main thing in terms of a credit report would be the council tax record rather than anything else...0 -
Have a look on Noddle.
It will give you a free report each month and is a well laid out website0
