I thought I would try all these with a random share but I am a bit doubtful.

At the bottom of the screen when it displayed the chart it said:
"This data is provided for information purposes only and will be delayed by at least 15 minutes at most times"
Not sure if this is live or not. There is a disclaimer on the charts but not sure how it affects share prices.
Can't see any shares prices on this site?

Hi thanks for the reply folks- but after looking I tend to agree with "reaper".

For real time data from LSE
http://www.digitallook.com
(however you are restricted to 15 minutes at a time).

Or the following use real time data from BATS exchange

US data:
http://www.freestockcharts.com/

UK data:
http://www.timetotrade.eu/buildalert.php?symbol=X:STAN.L
(NB use "X:" before the ticker, eg X:BARC.L for the real time)

I use Digital Look and I think you have misunderstood. Their site actually says:
Note 1: Prices and trades are provided by Digital Look Corporate Solutions and are delayed by at least 15 minutes.
I haven't checked the others.

Hi Reaper

Agree DL's Interactive and Static charts are 15min delayed, however the Streaming Charts are real time, just go to the Charts tab for a particular stock and then select Streaming Charts.

The notes under streaming charts say:

Note 1: Prices and trades are provided by Digital Look Corporate Solutions and are shown in real-time.

They restrict the length of time you can view the real time charts for a particular instrument to 15mins per session.

I tried for BP but there's no option to select it, at least not as a user with a free account. I see their "Research Plus" option offers streaming charts but you have to pay a monthly fee to get access to that.

I don't subscribe to their Research Plus, just the free site. Here is a screen shot below, I have highlighted the streaming charts tab.

Weird, I get exactly the same screen but only the first 2 chart options are available, not streaming. I tried in both IE and Chrome to see if it was a browser issue but neither gave me the option. Maybe it is a selective roll out of a trial feature?
