Insurance No claims bonus

Hi I was wondering if anybody could help.

I have insured my mondeo with Quotemehappy for £240 (£550 without), thanks to 7 years NCB. They have asked for proof, it took a bit of diggin but HSBC car insurance supplied proof.

The porblem is they say the policy ended in feb 2010, over 24 months ago. This policy was on a Galaxy. The galaxy was scrapped in July 2010.

I can't remember who I insured the galaxy with between Feb 2010 and the scrap date, but know is wasn't off the road and was insured.

Does anyone know of a way to find out the insuirance history for this car, so I can pester the insurance companY?

Hope you can help!!

Lee

THat proof from HSBC is out of date unless you can find anyone who takes 3 year old proof (maybe a local broker, not swinton, can help)

Otherwise search your bank statements/credit card bills/emails to try and trace them (there's no database you can search to show your insurance history)

Bank/ credit card statements will be the quickest option.

Alternatively you can contact the Motor Insurers Bureau to check the Motor Insurers Database (https://www.askMID.com). You could probably use the accident tool for £4 but you'd most likely be breaching the terms and condition of the policy.

This would be a waste of money.

AskMID only has the current insurance details for a vehicle.

The vehicle in question was scrapped in 2010! The policy in question was cancelled in 2010!

Not at all, the MID accident section asks you for the date of the incident and returns the insurer for that date. It holds the data for the last 7 years

But the OP has not had an accident relevant to this issue!

Hence the comment that it would probably breach the terms of the site but would be the quickest way to get the answer
