Can't Get Life Assurance - Skin Cancer Scare

Hi,
I'm looking for a wee bit of advice. About 2 years ago my girlfriend was diagnosed as having cancerous moles on her back. She had them removed and now gets regular check ups. Thankfully everything seems to be ok now. She had the worrying areas removed but did not require chemo. She has tried to get some kind of life assurance but many companies have refused because of her treatment.
I was wondering if anyone knows a way of at least getting somekind of policy which will offer life assurance.
Thank you very much for your help.
