Capital Finance One
Options
Just when I thought I was getting my left back together, things were going better, Capital Finance One this morning started withdrawing money from my current account. I now limit myself to around £450 a month and this morning, my banks fraud department told me of around £125 in single £25 transactions being taken from my account. the bank have put a hold on my account, giving me the change to speak to CFO, but their website doesn't seen to exist anymore and reading reports about how they do not care and refuse any type of payment plan. The thing that concerns me more so is that they never had these card details but yet these were used for the transactions. I need to go and take the money out of my account so I have it to live on, but I know my mobile phone will need to come out at some stage and I think if I get the block removed from my account, I think they will drain it completely. Is there a chance if I unblock it now, that they would have transactions piled up waiting to go and the moment my account is free, they will start clearing? I know I can call my bank and get them to cancel my card but thats 10 days without a card, and I work all the times the banks are open and the nearest one would take over an hour to get to and back during a lunch break. Does anyone know if they will have a back log of transactions that will go through the moment I remove the block or can I have time to get to a cash machine and withdraw my money first? Also does anyone know how to conatct these people as I now believe this to be a massive scam. I've been scammed by many payday loan companies and by a loan company who kept wanting money from me to give me a £3000 loan. I lost complete hope back in September but now the feeling is coming back that I can't get out of this. Any help appreciated.

OK, first thing I did was check your posting history. Got to be honest, it left me feeling uneasy.
On the other thread, back in October 2011, you said you were entering a DMP. Did you? If so, was this debt included?
Were you given money by other MSE users? Did you repay it?
You were advised to change bank accounts. Did you follow this advice?
Have you stopped using pay day loans? Have you repaid the pay day loans?
Until you answer the abovw questions honestly, its going to be difficult to answer. Oh and can I just add.....you did not get scammed by pay day loan companies; they offered to lend you money, you accepted.0 -
This lot?
They appear to be a wannabe loan broker and debt management company. I'm sure there's some irony there somewhere.
Website contains little info and lots of useless/broken links. Try viewing their Privacy Policy or Terms & Conditions for example.
How does a sham company like this get card processing facilities?
Having said that, there may be another company with the same name because there are messages posted here and elsewhere which suggest CFO offers payday loans.0 -

They used to do Payday Loans, but they have shut that site down......Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?0 -
the bank have put a hold on my account, giving me the chance to speak to CFO,
So why don't you do this then?
Until you stop taking or trying for payday loans - you are at risk of being scammed entering card details out willy nilly to anyone who might give you some "easy" cash at whatever price - which you could well be paying for now, CFO is not a charity nor a direct broker according to their CEO
Unfortunately for you this company also go under other payday lender names!!! and have been reincarnated a couple of times now before so I'd be careful
and if your card/account has being blocked by bank the card will probably get swallowed up when you attempt to put it in a cash point machine anyway
Sorry but seriously hope this is another wind up to your previous!? why are you so desperate to keep trying for loans?
You've only x amount of weeks/days till your 'official payday' right? please get professional help - you'll probably get buckets loads because you have been 'wronged' but morally well...0 -

Whats the scam ?
I've been scammed by many payday loan companies and by a loan company who kept wanting money from me to give me a £3000 loan.
And you gave them money willy nilly and bent over backwards for them ?
You dont give out money to get a loan back ? Any reputable lender doesn't work like this.
I lost complete hope back in September but now the feeling is coming back that I can't get out of this. Any help appreciated.
Follow any advice posted is what I suggest.
Split it up to make it easier to read.
1. did you take on board any of the advice you were given last year ?
2. if you didnt take on board any of the advice then theres no wonder your in the position
3. listen to what advice is posted on here but whether you action any of the advice is up to you0 -

You didn't did you?
Thanks for dragging such an old post though.0 -
Oh man here is a name I had forgotten about.
I work in IT and once had to do a job at CFO offices. They have a shocking lack of respect for their customers and some of the conversations I overheard from their 'customer service' agents was horrific.
One person in particular stood up and proclaimed to the whole floor that he had taken someones last £10 from them and there were high fives all around, while he was joking and mimicking the person crying on the phone about not having any money and having a baby to feed.
I was on site for 2 days and that was just the start of it. Actually made me feel sick the way they talked about their customers even whilst they were on the phone.
I know this doesn't really help this particular situation but if anyone needs to go to this type of lender I would certainly recommend AGAINST capital finance one having seen them in person!!0
