Hello,
I am trying to install Google Chrome. After installing it asks me to sign in using my g-mail no and password which I do.
Everything is fine until I go into my e-mail account and find that it is full of unwanted e-mails based on my latest Google searches.
Does anyone know how to stop this.
Thanks,
Michael

I'm using Chrome. From memory that screen isn't mandatory. You can just set your home page in options to anything you want and it won't prompt you anymore0

It's a bit flaky on that respect as whilst you can set the homepage to something that isn't sign-on you find that it can sometimes reassert itself if you open a second Chrome window.I'm using Chrome. But you are right - not signing in is the best option0 -

Delete it and stop them from recording it.http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/topic.py?hl=en&topic=14148&parent=28726&ctx=topic
It would also be worth looking at Google dashboard to see what else they know about you, and delete the stuff they have no need to know. Possibly all of it.

And as everybody else has said, don't sign in unless you are happy with the consequences.0 -

Same here, it just opens at my home page, and my Gmail is spam free, except for the Google filtered spam box

Same here... but then I don't sign in to any Google services, block tracking cookies and delete all others when the browser closes...
Would Chromium (the open-source version of Chrome) do this? Might be worth a look...0
