Putting A Video On To A Dvd

Can anyone tell me if I can get a treaured home video put onto a dvd.It is very precious to us for sentimental reasons so realy wouldnt want to have to mail it off somewhere.Thankyou.

Yeah the video can be put onto a DVD.
The easiest way I know of doing this is to connect your video or camcorder to a DVD recorder & away you go.0 -
if you don't have the facilities to do this yourself, many camera/photo shops will do it for you.0

I'm sure I saw recently a new combo VCR /DVD recorder on the market where you can record all your own tapes directly onto DVD blanks - probably someone like Comet or Currys would stock it and thsi would be very useful if you had a load of tapes to archive and keep.
If it is just one tape, probably cheaper to get it done professionally at a photo shop as said above.0
